Which Transducer is a Thermocouple?
A thermocouple is a type of temperature transducer that converts temperature into electrical voltage signals. Thermocouples contain two junctions, measurement (hot) and reference (cold). The systems measure temperature by creating a new voltage proportional to the junction’s temperature difference. Because the system is made of two different metals at separate ends with a temperature difference between junctions, a voltage is generated, known as the Seebeck effect.
Acromag offers thermocouple transmitters such as the TT233 module that converts the thermocouple’s millivolt signal into a standardized 4-20 mA output. Our transmitters provide accurate signal conditioning, amplification, and isolation, ideal for industrial automation, process control, and other applications where reliable temperature measurement and transmission are critical.
