What is an XMC Carrier Card?
An XMC (Switched Mezzanine Card) carrier card provides the physical and electrical connections necessary for plug-in XMC modules to communicate with the host system and other peripherals. In addition to communication, carrier cards also help with expansion, power, and cooling allowing the module to perform faster and more efficiently.
