What is a Profinet IO Device?
A Profinet I/O device is a component used to communicate in a Profinet (process field net) network. The Profinet protocol is structured to allow efficient communication with real-time data exchange for dependable control and monitoring operations. Input modules monitor digital or analog sensors and send data to a system controller. Output modules regulate actuators (e.g. motors or valves) to perform actions based on signals received from the controllers.
Acromag offers a wide range of Profinet I/O devices. These devices are high-speed, scalable, interoperable, and rugged to ensure efficient performance in high-performance, demanding environments.
