Like mPCIe (mini PCIe), mSATA (mini-SATA) is an expansion slot designed to accessorize computer systems. However, mSATA is designed with a SATA interface rather than PCIe. Because mSATA is based on the SATA interface, its use is limited to solid-state drives (SSDs) and is mainly designed to assist with storage. MPCIe is a more versatile format designed to work with PCIe interfaces.

Acromag offers ruggedized mPCIe cards tailored for smaller devices. With a wide variety of I/O functions available to provide a compact, modular solution, mPCIe is ideal for many applications in military, aerospace, and industrial automation, where durability and performance are critical.
