VPX carrier cards provide a simple and cost-effective solution for interfacing mezzanine I/O modules to a VPX computer system.

Analog, digital, FPGA, counter/timer, communication, networking, serial and multi-function I/O Mezzanine modules for VPX carriers are available.

VPX Single Board Computers

VPX single board computers are ideal for high-performance defense and scientific research systems requiring high-speed I/O with serial fabric interconnect technologies.

The AcroExpress® 3U and 6U SBC modules can support one or two DDR4 ECC SODIMMs, for a total of up to 32GB of removable memory. The SODIMMs are firmly attached to the module with screws and surrounded by heat sink material to provide a mechanically and thermally robust mechanism. Extended temperature models are available for operating in a -40°C to +85°C range.

The VPX6860 6U SBC supports an XMC mezzanine module, with up to a x8 Gen3 PCIe interface. It also supports one AcroPack or mini-PCIe module.

An optional rear-transition module is available to provide easy access to all of the P2 connector’s I/O signals.

VPX Carrier Cards for AcroPack Modules

3U and 6U carrier boards provide a modular approach to system assembly since each carrier can be populated with any combination of analog input/output, digital input/output, communication, AcroPack modules. The modularity allows the user to create a board which is customized to the application. This saves money and space; a single carrier board populated with AP modules may replace several dedicated function VPX boards.
