Xembedded SBCs with Core i7 CPUs
With the acquisition of Xembedded products, Acromag can now provide high-performance processor modules. The two models below are the latest releases.
The XVME-6300 is a high performance 6U VME processor board based on the Intel® Core™ i7 processor, with dual displays and a front side bus of 1066MHz running DDR3 memory with ECC. The XVME-6300 is available in air and conduction cooled versions.
The XVPX-6300 is a high performance 3U VPX processor board based on Intel® i7 Core™. Get expanded front and rear I/O options at a competitive price.
New VPX Mass Storage Boards
The new XVPX-9756 is a bootable SATA/SAS storage module which can support dual slim SATA drives or a single 2.5" drive (rotating or solid state). This drive module can support one or two CPU boards via SATA interfaces. The boards are bootable over PCIe or SATA/SAS. They provide a drive activity LED and connect as a SATA/SAS drive OR via the PCIe interface. Additionally, they are RAID 0/1 configurable with dual slim SATA drives. New XMC Module links Configurable Virtex-6 FPGA to High-Speed PCIe, SRIO, and Gigabit Ethernet Interface
The new XMC-6VLX modules are designed for applications requiring a powerful co-processor tightly integrated with Gigabit Ethernet communication or other high-speed serial interfaces. Acromag's new XMC-6VLX mezzanine modules feature a configurable Xilinx® Virtex™-6 FPGA enhanced with multiple high-speed memory buffers, I/O, and numerous high-bandwidth serial interfaces. The FPGA provides rapid processingand is closely coupled to the serial interconnects to prevent data transfer bottlenecks. 10-Gigabit Ethernet, PCI Express, Serial RapidIO, and Xilinx Aurora implementations are supported. Optional front-panel I/O adds dual SFP ports for Fibre Channel or copper Gigabit Ethernet and a VHDCR connector for expanded I/O signal access. Typical uses include simulation, communications, signal intelligence, and image processing. Available in a variety of configurations, models start at $8250 with upgradeable logic, I/O, and operating temperature capabilities. More Information
White Paper: Introduction to VPX
Are you new to VPX (also known as VITA 46)? Our white paper explains this new technology to prepare you for the next generation of ruggedized compact embedded systems. In this paper, we discuss how VPX expands the possible bandwidth, compared to the traditional VME system, by replacing the parallel bus with high speed serial busses. The serial busses offer higher data rates while using a fraction of routing resources. This allows the new VPX standard to focus more physical backplane resources on improving other design aspects such as supporting larger power draw and more user I/O.
