Signal Conditioners and Modbus I/O are now USB configurable with Windows Vista support
Wixom, MI: Configuring Acromag's IntelliPack signal conditioners, BusWorks Modbus I/O modules, and 151T field-mount transmitters through your PC's USB port is now much easier. Acromag recently added a new USB-to-serial adapter to the software interface packages that are validated and certified for use with newer Windows Vista versions to provide a more convenient setup experience. Software-based configuration simplifies the setup of input/output ranges and functionality, increases precision, and saves time when commissioning multiple units with similar settings. Updated configuration kits include the Model 900C-SIP for BusWorks Modbus RTU 900MB I/O modules, Model 800C-SIP for IntelliPack Signal Conditioners, and Model 151C-SIP for 151T universal field-mount temperature transmitters. These software interface packages include a configuration software CD, cable, serial port adapter, and now a USB adapter. The USB adapter is also sold separately as part number 4001-095 for $50.
Acromag's three PC-configurable product families offer a range of advanced capabilities not available on manually configured products. An internal microcontroller enables a convenient initial setup at your desktop without potentiometer adjustments, DIP-switch settings, and calibrators. Instead, Acromag's configuration software interfaces with the instruments through a USB port (v1.1 or 2.0) to provide easy control of operating parameters in a few mouse clicks. The software also helps users set up intelligent transfer functions on IntelliPack signal conditioners, local alarm conditions for Modbus I/O, and filtering options with 151T transmitters. Menu options quickly select sensor settings while entry fields allow scaling for precise I/O ranges. A test screen provides instant diagnostics to verify operation.
Select from a broad assortment of process instruments. The IntelliPack series includes transmitters, alarms, and math/computation modules capable of performing many intelligent signal processing functions. BusWorks Modbus-RTU modules feature a variety of input and output units with RS-485 communication. 151T field-mount transmitters accept universal temperature and other sensor inputs.
