Acromag Invests in Latest Generation of Automated Optical Inspection to Improve Production Quality
Acromag installs state-of-the-art automated inspection to prevent solder and part placement defects.
Wixom, MI: Acromag invested in CyberOptics® complete automated optical solution (AOI system) for electronics assembly inspection for their printed circuit board manufacturing. The solution is a three step automated process beginning with the solder paste deposition, pre-solder inspection, and post-solder inspection. Revolutionary AOI technology uses modelling to calculate process variation in real time on real production data by analyzing pixel by pixel the image of the real production PCB.
“Our goal is to provide the best instrument solutions to our customers,” explained Bret Stephenson, Acromag’s Operations Manager. “This system performs fast, reliable, and consistent inspection of the small components on the boards to ensure reliable finished products.”
