I am planning to implement remote monitoring of Boreholes which supply the raw brine for a soda ash and salt plant. The total number of control points to be minitored is 67. I want to use the Acromag Ethernet I/O modules at each remote control site to interface with the borehole electrical panel switchgear. Sice the boreoles are far from the plant, I want to use Ubiquity 5GHz radios to link back to the Plant main PLC/DCS (Yokogawa Centum) which uses Modbus/TCP.
I have not had an opportunity to do a trial and I need advice on how to ensure the system will work for all the sites. I have read a number of forums where problems have been encountered preventing the PLC from communicating with remote I/O's using wireless ethernet radios. Please assist.
