We have successfully used the Modbus TCP library provided by Acromag to program all the various register settings needed to be customized for configuring the assortment of these modules used in our products via scripts.
We are now attempting to use CUrl to program the network settings of each of these modules and are running into problems. We are operating in a Linux OS environment so the Windows utility is not an option here (It no longer works with 64 bit anyway).
Are there any sample scripts of documentation on how to do this? The manuals for each module allude to this option for configuration (verses the web interface) but they do not have any specific examples. Network settings are specifically called out as not being alterable via Modbus protocol commands. So CUrl seems like the best option.
We would want to change the configuration from the module default IP address of 128.1.100 to another 172.x.x.x address and also change the default username, password, hostname, gateway, and dns address. I can post specific examples of what we have tried so far if that would be of help.
