I am attempting to communicate with an 851T-0500 module to download a configuration from the IntelliPack Configuration software, but so far I have been unable to establish any communication. I am using a straight-through serial cable (in accordance with Drawing 4501-635) to connect the module to an ABB RS485-to-RS232 converter, connecting that to a SIIG USB-to-Serial converter (02-0882C), and then connecting to one of my laptop's USB 3.0 ports. I set the USB Serial Port to COM2 through Device Manager, powered on the 851 module, launched the Configuration software, and then selected COM2 in the Settings menu. When I click OK to confirm selection of COM2 I get a message saying there is not a USB-to-Serial adapter found on COM2. Additionally, the status light on the USB-to-Serial converter never comes on, and the status lights on the 851 module remain the same whether or not it is connected (the power light is solid green and the status light is flashing amber, while the other 2 lights are off).
