We are looking for a motivated Machine Operator – Conformal Coat and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) person. You will work with a team of talented and motivated professionals, and gain wide-range experience in a dynamic electronics company.

Job Description

Operate and programs CNC conformal coat machine as well as flexibility to work in SMT and new areas and processes when time allows. Ability to complete work as outlined that meets or exceeds standard requirements. Initiative to be an outside the box thinker on developing and improving upon conformal coat methodology as well as being a team player and advocate of the organizations core values.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide solutions and ideas to new and old conformal coat programs
  • Setup Conformal Coating machine and dispensing tools as per job instructions
  • Prep, Mask, and/or Tape Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) prior to coating
  • Inspect PCBs to ensure proper coating coverage
  • Remove any excess coating and perform manual touch-up of any missed areas
  • Perform maintenance on the coating and dispensing machines
  • Change the fluids and mixers and cleaning machines to ensure proper and efficient operation
  • Start up, operate, program, and maintain selective solder machine
  • Perform daily weekly maintenance on Selective solder machine
  • Work in a dynamic team environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Read and understand assembly drawings
  • Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize duties
  • Transport racks of circuit boards from one destination to another to continue the manufacturing process.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to provide a safe and clean working environment at all times.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma (Associates in manufacturing technology preferred)
  • Prior experience in manufacturing
  • Moderate computer literacy skills.
  • Knowledge of industry health and safety laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Skills

  • Pass and maintain IPC-A-610D certification.
  • Use of visual aids may be required such as magnification lenses, binocular microscopes, and specific personal safety equipment.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Light manufacturing environment – Maximum weight to be handled is 50 pounds.
  • The majority of the work is to be performed in a sitting position. The ability to remain seated in a chair for up to 8 hours at a time if necessary.
  • May occasionally perform duties in a standing, kneeling or squatting position, and occasionally use a stair climber ladder.
  • Good eyesight and the ability to distinguish color is necessary.
  • Able to speak, read, write, and understand English as it relates to performing job requirements.

Working Conditions

  • The work setting consists of a production environment with suitable lighting, a moderate to high noise level, and fluctuating temperatures.
  • The work schedule consists of a five-day, 40-hour workweek, with overtime dependent on department needs.
  • You may be required to wear eye protection for the majority of the shift.
  • This is a safe working environment with mild chemical odor and fumes.
