ACROMAG APPLICATION ENGINEERING PRODUCT NOTE:
SmartPack Configuration Software (MetraVision 3.03) Message "Invlid micro handle" When Using the Wink Function



Product: Acromag SmartPack Configuration Software model 50SW-CFS-M03-1.44MB (MetraVision 3.03) 

Problem: User receives the message "Invlid micro handle" when trying to use the wink function using MetraVision 3.03 Configuration software. User’s may not have general configuration setup correctly for normal use even it they do not receive the error.

Solution: Change the menu Network | Configuration… | HW Property | Create… Use the following parameters for all SmartPacks unless otherwise noted in the product user’s manual. Some modules use a 10 MHz. input clock rate, but the majority of Acromag modules use a 5 MHz. input clock rate.

Differences are due to the following, Acromag does not use Offchip RAM, most modules have a 5 MHz. clock rate, and the Firmware Version set by Echelon for our compiler to be compatible with routers is 4.

After creating this Hardware Property, this property name must be selected when installing the module. If a different property name was used to install the module, the module must be uninstalled and then reinstalled using the new property name located in the "HW Properties" pull down menu in the "Neuron Node" property box (available by double-clicking on the node icon).

Reason: Acromag modules do not use the parameters supplied by the "default_hw_props" which specify the following. Neuron Chip Model: 3150 Offchip RAM Size: 1 Input Clock Rate: 10 MHz. Firmware Version: 3 EEPROM Write Time: 10 ms
