Design Engineer – Process Products
Job Description
Acromag is a multi-million dollar international corporation that combines more than 50 years of process monitoring and control experience with a solid background in high-tech computer design. Established in 1957, Acromag built its reputation designing critical measurement instrumentation equipment for the petrochemical and aerospace industries. Acromag, Inc. was soon recognized internationally as a leading designer of analog and digital control products for the industrial I/O market.
Primary tasks will be the research and design of electronic products. This will include testing, documentation, and manufacturing support of electronic products. In addition, existing products must occasionally be supported with component updates. Must be capable of providing product application support for new and existing products.
Position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (BSEE), additional Computer Engineering (BSCE) degree is a plus. Requires a minimum of 1 years experience using and designing with microcontrollers (hardware/software), compiler and schematic capture tools. Experience with analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion devices, and familiarity with network I/O protocols (Ethernet Modbus/TCP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet) a plus.

Product Support Engineer
Job Description
Primary responsibilities include the direct interface with purchasing and production departments to support successful ongoing part procurement, product assembly and verification of compliance to production test requirements; candidate also interfaces directly with sales to provide product application engineering support as needed.
Candidate will be expected to make modifications to electronic products as necessary to maintain functionality and extend product life. This includes customizing and documenting product variations to satisfy unique customer requirements.
Position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (BSEE), Computer Engineering (BSCE) or Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology (BSEET). 2+ years of related work experience preferred.
Additional Job Requirements
• Experience with laboratory test equipment required.
• Schematic capture and printed circuit board design experience required.
• C programming experience with microcontrollers required.
• Experience with operational amplifiers, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters is a plus.
• VHDL/Verilog programming experience with FPGA’s is a plus.
• Network I/O protocol experience (Ethernet Modbus/TCP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet) is a plus.
• Experience with computer buses including PCI-Express, PCI and VME is a plus.

Electronic Engineering Assistant
Primary responsibilities will be the writing/developing product evaluation software using C and/or C++. Must perform qualifying tests (verification & validation) and troubleshooting as an integral member of a design team developing new electronic product designs incorporating hardware circuitry and firmware/software. Candidate must be a problem solver who can do creative design work of limited scope and function effectively with a minimum of supervision.
Position requires a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology (BSEET). 2+ years work experience preferred.
Additional Job Requirements
• Programming experience in C and/or C++. Programming of embedded microcontrollers is a plus.
• Experience using logic analyzers to validate/debug computer interface bus data transfers.
• Experience with electronic CAD schematic capture and/or circuit simulation.
• Mechanical CAD experience is a plus.
• Experience in performance of EMC testing to meet European Norms (CE) is a plus
(RFI, cRFI, ESD, EFT, surge and radiated emissions).
• Must be self-motivated to meet scheduled goals with minimum supervision.
• Flexible to alternate between job assignments.
• Must follow proper component ESD handling procedures.
