Job Description:
The Marketing Engineer would be responsible for providing support to the Process Instruments Marketing and Sales Groups. This position would report to the Director of Marketing & Sales. Responsibilities would include analyzing and presenting information on markets/product technologies. It would also include interfacing with customers and sales representatives, providing technical product support, product trainings, webinar presentations, and other duties as assigned. Periodic traveling is required. BSEE and 5+ years experience is desired.
Duties:

Analyze and present findings on industries, markets, products and technologies

Analyze competition and present recommendations for improved product sales and marketing

Present and/or research new products and marketing ideas
-
Interface with customers for the purposes of technical support, customer service, and gaining first hand knowledge of client needs and requirements

Talk with new potential clients for marketing and sales purposes
-
Assist/support Inside Sales, RSM's and Field Reps/Distributors with product knowledge and competitive positioning.

Create and deliver product presentations, training materials, whitepapers, case studies, application notes, education materials, etc…

Participate in product developments, regulatory approvals, trade associations, trade shows, etc…

Assist in the managing and support of the Process Group's Special Application Products.

Provide inter-departmental technical interface between Engineering, Production and the Sales Groups

Perform continuous updates of your own knowledge of products
Education:
-
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
-
Minimum 5 years work experience
-
Experience/education with industrial networks, Ethernet communications and controls/instrumentation a plus.
Tools/Skills:
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel, Power-point, Access (limited)

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes or equivalent
-
Proficient with Adobe Illustrator or other desktop/graphics software
-
Good typing (ie; 40+ wpm), phone and grammar skills.

Travel:

As a Marketing Engineer you may be called upon assisting Regional Sales Managers during travels for technical support and presentation purposes.

Independent travel to new and existing customers will be required for marketing research or sales support purposes as needed.

Other travel may include trade shows, national sales meetings, trade association meeting, regulatory meetings, or representative/distributor meetings.

Travel will be as required and directed by the Director of Marketing and Sales for the Process Group.
