New Ethernet I/O Has Both Analog Inputs and Outputs to Interface Virtually Any Sensor or Instrument to a Control Network.

EtherStax Model ES2151 and ES2152 high-density analog input/output blocksAcromag introduces high-density I/O block with a 48-channel combination of analog inputs and outputs for its EtherStax™ Ethernet I/O series. Units interface DC current or voltage signals and connect to 7B or 8B isolated signal conditioner modules.

Acromag further extends their  EtherStax™ line of rugged, high-density Ethernet I/O blocks for distributed I/O and SCADA applications with the release of new combination analog input/output models. The  ES2151 and  ES2152 feature 16 DC current inputs, 16 voltage inputs, and either 16 current or voltage output signals, respectively, to interface sensors and actuators to an Ethernet control network. Modbus TCP/IP and UDP/IP protocol communication, as well as peer-to-peer messaging are supported. A DB25 input port connects a rack of 7B or 8B signal conditioning modules to monitor a wider variety of sensors including temperature, frequency, and load cells. ES2152 models also have a DB25 output port to control 7B/8B analog output modules. Fast, high-resolution 16-bit A/D and D/A scanning updates all channels in under 10mS. Units are available in a variety of configurations with prices starting at $1950.

Customer Testimonials

"The system has proven itself running in our shop for multiple weeks rock solid without error."

A natural gas company in Colorado was required by the EPA to monitor and record the exhaust temperature and fuel consumed by large engines used to drive natural gas compressors at one of their new facility installs. This data was to be collected in 15 minute increments and stored every 24 hours. The client contacted an Engineering firm to develop the described system. They also requested the ability of the system to record natural gas produced by each of ten compressors and the run status of those compressors. External data storage separate from the data collection PC was also required. Part of the system was required to meet both UL listing and a Class1 Div.2 rating. The client gave a two week deadline concerning the delivery of a presentable working prototype in a lab environment.  Read more
