PCI I/O Boards
Our new PCI boards are based on technology and circuit designs with time-tested reliability in thousands of installations. Several models are now available for a variety of analog and digital I/O functions. These modules offer an unmatched balance of features, performance, and price for the best value in PCI I/O.

Acromag PCI boards are well-suited for COTS and industrial projects. Great effort goes into selecting high-performance parts to withstand the demands of military, aerospace, and manufacturing applications. Most models are available with extended temperature ranges for reliable operation in harsh environments. Acromag products are also designed for the long life-cycles required for OEM and defense projects.

And to simplify the implementation of Acromag I/O modules, a variety of software development tools are available. Function libraries provide example reoutines integrate Acromag's I/O with your application code and establish communication with your other embedded computer boards.

Application Spotlight
Sander Geophysics Limited of Ottawa,Ontario, Canada evaluated and subsequently specified Acromag 3U cPCI Carrier Board along with the IP520-64 serial module and IP330 Analog I/P module. The Acromag I/O system is a part of the ground test system that monitors the on-board control system. Acromag home office provides sales and technical support for SGL in Canada.

Sander Geophysics Limited(SGL) was founded in 1956. Their first airborne geophysical survey occurred in 1958, and by 1967 airborne surveying had become the company's mainstay. They are one of a small number of companies specializing in High Resolution airborne surveys for petroleum and mineral exploration: and environmental mapping worldwide.

SGL currently owns and operates one of the largest fleets of geophysical aircraft, including six turbine Cessna 208B Grand Caravans, two Britten-Norman BN2B-21 Islanders, and one Cessna 404. Since 1990 SGL has flown and compiled more than four million line kilometers (lkm) of high resolution airborne geophysics data. Note: the average aircraft survey endurance is 5.5 hours of continuous mapping.

The staff at SGl is dedicated to research and development. Nearly 1/3 of the 90 person staff of geophysicists and engineers are devoted to developing new and more efficient instrumentation and software for airborne geophysical surveying. Combining leading edge GPS capability with engineering excellence, SGL has completed an ambitious project to design and build an airborne gravimeter which offers much better resolution and stability than any other current system. The latest gravimetric surveying system developed by SGL is a state -of -the -art Airborne Inertially Referenced Gravimeter(AIRGrav). The AIRGrav can easily be flown in combination with magnetometer and/ or a gamma-ray spectrometer system.
